Old hen faints.
#1
I have a Maran I think 5 or 6years. Most evenings in the past week she has fainted. It doesn't look like a seizure ; she slowly drops to the ground and flaps slightly. Tonight I didn't pick her up, and after a minute or two, she stood up, clucked a bit and started eating and then she perched. The previous evenings I've picked her up, but I wanted to see how she coped. I have no idea how often it happens in the day.
Should I have her put down?

If she appears to recover as well as you are saying, I would leave be - it doesn't sound as if she is suffering to me.
I never make the same mistake twice. I do it at least five or six times, just to make sure !

I would leave her as well. You'll know when she's not enjoying life.
