Incubating
#1
I've got 15 brahma eggs in the inci (having disposed of 5 clear ones), on day 16, hatch due on Saturday.
I've been regulating temperature of the eggs by measuring with an ear thermometer as mentioned in another thread.

The naughty bit is that my OH is unaware of them - she obviously hasn't been into that spare room for a couple of weeks :-D

Good luck with the hatch!! Missed the thread re the ear thermometer - what temperature are you keeping them at?

I'm surprised how much variation there is in my inci between different positions. Aiming for 37.8, but am lower as reluctant to set my inci at >39C to achieve it!! Have moved eggs around a bit to try to even out their temperature exposure. Also found a distinct hot-spot in my inci, so have now kept eggs away from there!

Hatch due on Saturday, one has pipped internally (first time i've seen this on candling) and I've
just turned up the humidity.
OH noticed some while ago but has said nothing - doesn't seem bothered :-)
Fingers crossed for lots of girls!

It never worries me when I get a little lost, all I do is change where I'm going

10 out so far, most overnight, 1 this morning. They always seem to be a bit late.

Good hatch rate so far.
I never make the same mistake twice. I do it at least five or six times, just to make sure !
