Hatching eggs - scotsfran - 24-05-2018

A friend of mine has a broody hen and would like to try for some chicks. Does anyone have any they can offer please? She is not fussy about the breed other than large fowl and 'something interesting'!!

I have just posted some buff columbian brahma eggs to April. I haven't incubated as yet this year so can't vouch for fertility currently (may hear back from April in a week or so), but the 2 boys seem to be pretty active with their ladies. I'm on a 24hr shift tomorrow so couldn't post anything until Saturday at the earliest, and eggs would be delayed in the post due to the bank holiday on Monday.
If your friend fancies big feather-legged birds let me now how many and when.

Many thanks Sutty - I will ask her. I guess it depends how dry her run is for the feathered legs!

My run has been pretty muddy and the only problem I've had is muddy eggs!
